Tadmarton Heath Golf Club

RULES AND CONDITIONS 2008

  1. Tadmarton Heath Golf Club is a very friendly Club and your Society Members should have a most enjoyable day out. It is expected that all of your players hold handicap certificates, can play to a reasonable standard and will not hold up play. Each player must have his/her own set of clubs, proper golf shoes and is expected to know and carry out the normal etiquette of golf. Rounds of over 4 hours are UNACCEPTABLE and it is the Organiser's responsibility to choose formats that encourage continuous play. Our experience suggests that Stableford Competition is the preferred format for Society Days. Texas Scramble formats are NOT permitted
  2. On Arrival. The Organiser should report to the Secretary’s Office to confirm the day's arrangements. Scorecards, and Nearest the Pin & Longest Drive Markers are available from the Professional’s Shop
  3. Standard of Dress. On the Course - Players must wear conventional trousers with socks, or tailored shorts worn with either knee-length socks or short & predominately white sports socks, collared or polo-neck shirts tucked into trousers, and proper golf shoes. Players must not wear denim jeans, combat or cargo trousers, football shirts or shorts, collarless and/or sleeveless shirts, trainers or trainer socks. Trousers may not be tucked into socks.
In The Clubhouse - Everyone must wear conventional trousers, collared or polo-necked sleeved shirts, socks and conventional shoes. Denim jeans, combat or cargo trousers, hats, caps, football shirts and shorts, trainer socks, trainers, and golf shoes of any description are not acceptable.
The Dining Room and Lounge - After 6p.m. everyone must wear a jacket with either a) tailored shirt with tie or cravat, or b) polo-neck sweater.
Ladies are requested to conform to a similar standard
  4. P.G.A., B.I.G.G.A., G.C.M.A. Members may be allowed courtesy of the course by agreement in advance.
  5. Tee Times. Your reserved tee times are pre-arranged according to your final confirmation of booking, and therefore it is essential that they be strictly adhered to. Please ensure that your Members are aware of these times. A reserved tee time does NOT entitle you to hold your position on the course. If you lose your place on the course through slow play you MUST allow faster following players to pass
  6. Advertising/Signs. The fixing of signs, displays and posters to walls or other locations within the grounds of Tadmarton Heath may be allowed, but only with written authorisation of the Club, which is required at least one week prior to the event
  7. Mobile Phones. The use of 'Mobile' phones or other similar electronic devices in the Clubhouse or on the Course is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Anyone using such a device will have it confiscated and returned to that person when he/she leaves the Club. Mobile phones may only be used in one's car.
  8. Damage. It is the duty of any individual to report to the Club any damage that has been caused.
  9. Booking and Cancellations. Provisional bookings are acceptable in advance, but automatically lapse unless confirmed in writing within 3 weeks. A booking shall only be finally confirmed when the Club has received and accepted the Booking Form and the Non-refundable Deposit of £10 per head (Minimum Deposit: £120).
The Club reserves the right to re-allocate a provisionally booked date if the Reservation Form and Deposit have not been received. FINAL NUMBERS MUST BE NOTIFIED 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE EVENT - YOU ARE REMINDED THAT THESE NUMBERS WILL FORM THE BASIS OF THE MINIMUM CHARGE. We recommend you ask your Society Members to pay you not later than a week before the day. The Club reserves the right to cancel any booking forthwith and without liability on its part, in the event of any damage or destruction of the Clubhouse or equipment by fire, or any other cause beyond the control of the management, which shall prevent it from performing its obligations in connection with the booking.
  10. Buggies. The Club does not provide buggies. Permission will be given for an individual to use his/her own buggy provided that the individual is covered by insurance and has a medical certificate.
  11. Weather. No price reduction can be made due to inclement weather for part rounds or course maintenance unless the course is officially closed.
  12. Payment. Full payment of the outstanding balance MUST be made on the day of the event, unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance, in writing. Payment should be in Cash or by ONE cheque only payable to "THGC"
  13. Tees of the Day will be the Yellow Markers (Red Markers for Ladies)
  14. Insurance. It is the responsibility of each player to be insured in case of an accident or injury to that person or any other person on or in the vicinity of the course. At the same time all individuals, using the Course or the premises (Members, Visitors and Employees) have a duty of care to ensure their own safety.
