Fathers & Daughters 2021

4 September 2021 held at Tadmarton Heath Golf Club

The disappointment of postponing last year’s event was forgotten as Tadmarton Heath welcomed a strong field for the 2021 Fathers and Daughters Open with competitors arriving from all parts of the UK to challenge for the title. Covid restrictions meant that the format was changed to an 18 hole Better Ball format which was a popular move.as the Banbury based club celebrated its 9th year as the host for this unique event.

Winning dad, Frank Kelleher, said ‘ Everything was top class as we have come to expect over the years and the course was in great condition. We are looking forward to next year already ’. Frank and daughter Molly, who play at Whitefields GC scored 44 points to pip Karen and Peter Shepherd on a countback with Sam and Tony Round a further place back with 40 points.

31 points in the gross section was enough to earn victory for Richard Higgins (Ipswich GC– 9 h/c) and Rachel Higgins (West Byfleet GC – 3 h/c)

Sue Privett, Lady Captain, presented the prizes in the clubhouse afterwards and thanked the club and the greens staff for their efforts. Details of our 2022 event can be found on the below link
